cocoa shells

Producing cocoa powder and cocoa butter leaves you with cleaned and broken cocoa shells together with a certain fraction of so called cocoa-nibs. The latter are simple small pieces of the cocoa core. Nothing added to this product.

Cocoa shells are nowadays used for bakery (low fat!), teas and as an add-on to "müslis" etc.

On the other end, you can use them - at least if you do not use the best quality - as an excellent fertilizer.

Our shells are from organic-beans from the Dominican Republic.
